Assembled by the 16th-c Italian sculptor and collector Pompeo Leoni, Codex  Atlanticus – comprised of 1.286 items- represents the largest collection of Leonardo papers ever assembled.

Included are spectacular drawings of technological innovation, of weapons an fortification, of Hydraulic devices, vessel and flying machines.

Every aspect of Leonardo’s genius is present, showing his abiding interest in the mechanical sciences and mathematics, in astronomy, physical geography, botany, chemistry and anatomy.

It also includes studies for paintings such as the “Adoration of the magi”, “Leda” and the “ Battle of Anghiari ”. Each volume of the 12 – volume facsimile is accompanied by a volume with the critical and diplomatic transcription edited by Augusto Marinoni . Limited edition of 998 copies consisting of a total of 24 leather bound volumes.
